Hygiene Kits for Haiti
New Beginnings is collecting materials to make hygiene kits to help replenish the stock of
Church World Service who is already engaged at several different levels in the relief effort in Haiti.
Kits will be assembled and shipped as items are gathered.
In the face of natural disasters, violence, or grinding poverty, Hygiene Kits can
mean the difference between sickness and health for struggling families. Each kit will contain the following items:
- One hand towel measuring approximately 16" x 28" (no fingertip or bath towels)
- One washcloth
- One wide-tooth comb
- One nail clipper (no metal files or
emery boards)
- One bar of soap (bath size in wrapper)
- One toothbrush (in original packaging)
- Six Band-AidsŪ

Emergency Winter Shelter
Our church is currently collecting donations for the Emergency Winter
Shelter in Charlotte and will be going there to serve food on January 27th from 5:00 - 8:30 pm.
